The 90 Proof Band
90 Proof is a band that's been a part of my life since my childhood. The band has been rockin' for over three decades and has raised thousands and thousands of dollars for all kinds of benefits over these years. They are a southern rock cover band from the Pattenburg, NJ area. Everytime they get together to play is usually for a benefit. The leader of the band is a rockin' New Jersey rebel named Tommy Lunger. There are two people who have influenced my life more than anyone in the world. The first is my mom. I probably wouldn't be here if I didn't have such a great mom. The other is her younger brother, my uncle, Tommy Lunger. Everything that has shaped my personality comes from the fact that I've always wanted to be like my uncle Tommy. He has been my role model forever. Most people think that Tgod is a pretty cool guy. Well every bit of cool I have in me is derived from the influence of my uncle. For me, he always has been and always will be the coolest guy in the entire world. Not only is he an amazing performer, vocalist, ladies man, gentleman and humanitarian, but he was and is the best uncle a kid could ever have. When I was young, there was never a time when he was too busy to play with us kids. Whether it was baseball or football or anything, he loved playing with me and my brothers and all the kids around. When it snowed out he would be at my door with the sleds before I would be at his. Through my tough years as a teenager I found myself at my uncles house more than anywhere. He's a family man and is a great father and my two aunts and all my cousins are also the coolest people I know. Every show is a family affair that I absolutely love and try to get to no matter what. His son, Tommy jr, is also a vocalist and major part of the band. His daughter Lori sings and is the main organizer of all the wonderful benefits that 90 Proof performs at. Wiley Moody plays bass and has been a friend of the family since childhood. Chris Hedges and Arne Englund are the guitars who rock the roof off every place they play. Joe Haines and KD Fingers usually rule the keyboards and Bam Bam and Paul Valentino have shared the drum stool over the years. 
There have been many, many different faces sitting in with the band over the years. Far too many to mention and all the core members also have other bands that they play in, but nobody is ever too busy to answer the call when money needs to be raised for a good cause. Every gig is a good time and the band has transcended generations and young and old all love the 90 Proof Band. My uncle Tommy is amazing and I never miss an opportunity to see him perform. He's as good now in his sixties as he was in his thirties and I'm sure the band will continue to rooock New Jersey for decades to come.
