The last time I saw Lamb Of God was at The Wellmont Theater here in Jersey but that place sucked and Mark was replaced by Doc from God Forbid so Killadelphia it wasn't. Then they embarked on years of arena shows and I feared they would never come back to the club/theater circuit. The whole state of metal has sucked the last few years cause all the good brutal metal bands were spending more time in the big arenas than the small club/theater venues. They deserve to make the big bucks but I'm ecstatic to see them come back to their real fans here in the east.

I have a long history with Lamb OF God and they've been a favorite of mine since their early days as Burn The Priest. The amazing shows at The Birch Hill Nightclub are forever etched in my memory as is The Riverfront Rampage by WSOU in Trenton. Jersey has always loved these guys and they rooocked here often and I was there every time! The filming of Killadelphia was the most brutal and I can be seen in the crowd a couple of times! An amazing, amazing performance that night nearly eight years ago. I have no words to describe my excitement as I make my way down I-95....south.

The Trocadero Theater was not a favorite venue of mine, but the NYC show had already sold out and I wasn't about to miss them. My friend Donna was with me here in 2004 so I picked her up and we readied ourselves for another war on the floor, Killadelphia II! They wouldn't allow camera's in the place when they filmed the DVD so I have nothing to show from then but tonight would be different. I got amazing video footage from down in front on the floor of all the carnage. Check that shit out below! They destroyed the place! They removed the roof immediately with two opening songs from the new album "Resolution". "Desolation" and "Ghost Walking" began the slaughter and then "Walk With Me In Hell" got the sweat pouring. It was a surfin' safari from the onset and I was front and center with constant kids flying overhead. It was a blast!! "Set To Fail" from 'Wrath' and some old favorites "Now You've Got Something To Die For", "Ruin" and "Hourglass" completely blew out the walls and sent the Philly crowd into a whirring cyclone sweatin' stompin' frenzy!

They went back to the new one a couple times with "The Undertow" and "The Number Six", mixed with other brutal favorites "Descending" and "Contractor" before ending with the classic "Laid To Rest". The lights weren't down for long as the frenzied crowd chanted them back out for a brutal floor stomping encore. It started with "In Your Words" and the place was destroyed by "Redneck"! But not completely! Because we all know what comes next. The floor began to seperate. Randy said "If you don't know what's about to happen, then get the fuck out of the way!" We all knew. They crashed into "Black Label" as the crowd smashed together destroying what was left of the Trocadero floor! Holy shiiiiiaaat!! Lamb Of God! Metal Gods! I walked out with every article of clothing I had on soaked through with sweat. Exhilerated from the best war on the floor ever in Philly! Killadelphia II! I'm so glad Lamb Of God has come back to the fans and places that paved the way for their success! It's been way too long since I've had a sweatin', stompin' good time like this!
