Rock Concerts Rooock! On Mike Verba's Rooock! Concert

Rock concerts have been a main part of my life as far back as I can remember. I couldn't wait each week to tune into such great shows as The Midnight Special on Friday Nights. One of my heroes back then was the late great Don Kirshner. There was no MTV yet and the only way to get to see live rock music was via shows like In Concert and the greatest rock show of all, Don Kirshner's Rock Concert. It was on every weekend at 11:30 at night and I never missed it. I'll never forget the drone of Don's voice and the leisure suit fashion. It was the only way of seeing your favorite bands live on TV. Don was king!

Then along came MTV. The video age! The amazing 80's! Now that's gone and MTV doesn't even have anything to do with music and the age of 70's rock shows has never been reproduced. Until now! I already created a show here on the Verbavision Network called Tgod Television which is a throwback to the old days of MTV. Mike Verba's Rooock! Concert is a new online show that presents live bands in an old school Don Kirshner way. A tribute to the pre MTV television days that brings rock concerts back to the screen. Well, the computer screen.

On Mike Verba's Rooock! Concert you'll see pictures and hear stories about some of my all time favorite live bands along with video footage from the shows I've seen them perform. Rock, Metal, local bands, electro Industrial, Country. Presented by me, Mike Verba, in an old school way. Minus the leisure suit.

Each episode will give you an in depth look at one or two bands from my personal standpoint. I have a vast archive of still pictures from my days as The Pit Photographer and an awesome video archive as well. Photos and video by Tgod will help you visualize the experiences as well as my own personal accounts of my most memorable moments from shows past and present. So sit back and enjoy. I hope to make my mentor proud by recreating his vision of live music on Mike Verba's Rooock! Concert. Long live king Don!
